It’s Playboy season! Fireboy DML is introducing us to another part of his story, reaffirming his message of wanting to leave a legacy with his latest single featuring fast-rising star Asake.
The single, ‘Bandana’ released ahead of its July 15 schedule, is the third song off Fireboy’s forthcoming album, ‘Playboy’.
Playboy, which would include his hit singles Playboy and Peru, has also added an addictive new single, ‘Bandana’, to the growing line of hits.
Since Fireboy’s emergence in the music industry, his albums have been one to look forward to, from ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps’ to his sophomore album ‘Apollo’.
Currently, ‘Playboy’ has amassed over 35 million streams worldwide, and his 2021 hit single Peru has amassed over 96 million streams worldwide; the remix with the multi-award-winning artiste Ed Sheeran has garnered over 250 million streams.
‘Peru’ led him to a whole new stage of fame in June 2022. He became the first Nigerian pop artiste to perform on the main stage at the BET Awards. He also earned his first BET nomination for Best International Act alongside acts like Tems, and Dave, amongst others.
