Fast-rising hip-hop singer and producer Ahmed Ololade Asake has been voted the breakout artiste of the year at NET Honours Class of 2022.
Asake defeated Bnxn, Lojay, Victony. Ruger and Portable to win the award.
For the first time in NET Honours history, 15 new categories were added and fans were allowed to vote to choose the winners in these categories.
NET Honours is an annual people’s choice award presented to deserving individuals in the Nigerian entertainment industry with verified data from Netng via the web and social.
In 2022 alone, the Obafemi Awolowo University alumnus released an EP in June 2022 titled Ololade Asake which contained the hit songs, Omo Ope and Sungba.
He scored 33.8% votes closely followed by Bnxn who scored 19.6%. Vict0ny followed with 17.7% while Portable had 15.4% and Lojay got 13.5% of the votes.
