Popular UK-based Nigerian photographer, Michael Tubes who is famed for capturing the numerous groundbreaking events of Nigerian musicians especially in the United Kingdom lets us in on some backstories leading to Tiwa Savage’s historic 02 Indigo concert.
According to the documentary photographer, female artistes should be more respected because they work harder than their male counterparts. Using Tiwa’s show to cite an instance, Michael posited that unlike the guys, most female artistes have to perfect their dance routines, and also get it right with their vocals, costumes and everything in between.

“When Tiwa had a show in London, Tiwa was working back to back. We will have dance rehearsals by seven, dance rehearsal finishes at 10 o’clock. From dance rehearsal, we would drive half an hour or 45 minutes to instrumental rehearsal and she won’t finish (until) two o’clock. She will wake seven o’clock again to go and have maybe like press interviews. At some point, I was scared that she could collapse. I think our females put a lot of hard work than the guys”, He explained.
