In the words of the famous journalist Eric Olsen – ‘Music is what life sounds like‘, this quote applies to every sound produced by Magege Theophilus better known as Ex-O (short for exceptional one). Ex-O has a reason for picking his monicker; the Lagos born artiste produces, raps and sings. A set of skills only a few can manage.
With production credits such as ‘The Finest‘ and ‘Ijinle Pam Pam‘ by Knighthouse and ‘No love‘ by Terry Tha Rapman under his belt, Ex-o has proven that he stands among the top hip-hop producers the country offers.
Remember Nuff Noiz? The post ’90s rap group most popular for the Rhythm 93.7 radio jingle? Yea, Ex-O was a member of the quartet. After years of fiding a commercial break, the group went defunct and he started out his own outfit called Cash-In Records. He has gone on to produce for artistes like I.G.H.O,
Ex-O has so many works in plans – an album, a mixtape and a bag of singles but he has chosen the latter to start off with..here we go…
‘Blackberry‘ is a likable tune from the start; easy to digest with easy swing, Ex-O admire a lady and likens her to a blackberry phone. Cheeky right, but one play would convince you…’She’s bold and beautiful, with the right curves I’ve been searching for…‘ He features upcoming rapper Efa on this one.
