Eddie Murphy receives America's top humour award ‘Mark Twain Prize'

American actor/comedian Eddie Murphy was honoured with the ‘Mark Twain’ humour prize by a host of comedians, including South African comedian, Trevor Noah.

Chris Rock, George Lopez, and Kathy Griffin were just some of the artists who performed in Eddie’s honour at the Kennedy Center in Washington on Sunday night.

The Mark Twain prize is considered to be the USA’s top honour for comedians.

Will Ferrell, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tina Fey have previously won the award.

Trevor Noah posted a picture with talkshow host and comedian Arsenio Hall on Instagram during rehearsals ahead of the big night.

He was also pictured backstage with George Lopez and Arsenio Hall.
