D’banj surprised many fans with a performance at the weekly Industry Nite event, held at Oriental Hotel in Lekki on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
The Entertainer came on stage to support his friend Ikechukwu, performing various songs with the rapper, including the hit song ‘Critical‘. The crowd’s excitement grew as D’banj stepped on stage, dancing and taking pictures with fans.
Meanwhile, Ikechukwu was also joined by Naeto C who performed his new single ‘Tony montana‘. Other artistes such as Davido and his HKN Gang – B Red and Sinarambo, K Switch, and upcoming act Omo Akin also gave the whole performance session a lift, dancing and miming to their songs.
Ikechukwu, a former Storm Records artiste said he was honoured by the support and ovation he got from his friends and fans.
‘This is my first time in Industry Nite, and I’m glad to see everyone come out here to support me tonight.’
This edition of the weekly event also had Seun Kuti, Nomoreless, Sage, Sauce Kid, DJ Humility, Special ED and more in attendance, and is sponsored by Trace Urban, Spinlet, and Beat FM.
The well-attended show ended at 2:35 am, and Dbanj, Naeto C, Davido and crew members drove out of the venue in a convoy, escorted by Policemen, who shot into the air several times for unknown reasons.
