Popular video director Abiodun ‘Gini’ Olayinka has announced he will be releasing a documentary on the late rapper Dagrin to mark the second anniversary of the rapper’s death.
According to the director, the one-hour plus clip will feature ‘never-before-seen clips and images of Dagrin. It will also contain interviews with individuals that crossed the path of the young man and contributed to his rise to fame in the Nigerian music industry.
Titled ‘Remembering Dagrin’, the documentary will further cover the mysteries which have surrounded the late young man’s death and will serve as a reference point to many upcoming acts.
‘We were very good friends and he convinced me on his dreams and plans for his career and the Nigerian entertainment industry. Dagrin had plans of having his own crew made up of young artistes like him who are struggling through various adversities to make their voices heard. So OMOITA was created to also help artistes like him realize their dreams and carry on the dreams he had for Missofuyin Entertainment’, Gini says.
Dagrin who had just started to rip the fruits of his labour tragically lost his life on April 22, 2010 days after a ghastly motor accident.
