The ‘Bad Belle’ rapper disclosed this on Thursday, May 22, 2015 while responding to questions at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards announcement at Cova Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
His ‘wish list’ includes the male choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Hugh Masekela from South Africa, Youssou N’Dour from Senegal and Salif Keita from Mali.
In his words
‘I would like to work with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Hugh Maskela, Youssou N’Dou and Salif Keita.
‘I think we have done great in terms of creating a vibrant modern African music scene and the young audience really connects with that, but it would really be great to be able to connect the young audience with the older generation of African musicians. Africa has such a rich musical history and it would be a shame to lose part of that history.
‘My next ambition is to connect the younger audience with this older generation of African musicians.’
The 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards will take place in Durban, KwaZulu Natal in South Africa on Saturday, July 18, 2015.
