Apparently, Senator, Sani Yerima wasn’t the only one that wanted the Senate to reverse a vote that appeared to outlaw underage marriage. Thanks to a Sen. Babafemi Ojudu (Ekiti Central, ACN), a full list of the senators who voted ‘NO’ (i.e wanting the reverse) has leaked online.
Meanwhile, an ‘anti-underage marriage’ campaign #ChildNotBride has been kicked off on social media most especially Twitter, hours after the news broke. A handful of activists are condemning the ruling, asking for it to be reversed.
The senators who voted NO-that is those who did not want the clause deleted, include the following:
