South Africa midfielder, May Mahlangu has been suspended from the Bafana Bafana squad after he missed a training session due to fatigue.
According to Daily Mail reports, South Africa head coach, Ephraim Mashaba said the midfielder sent him an email telling him he was tired having played lots of games recently and therefore needed to skip the camp in order to rest for sometime.
Head of the South Africa FA, Dennis Mumble also commented on Mahlangu’s dismissal, saying: ‘We will not tolerate an individual who does not take national call-ups seriously.’
The 25-year old will not feature in the South African squad to face Sudan and Nigeria in the remaining games of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers.
May Mahlangu, who currently plays for Swedish team, IFK Goteborg, was called to the South African national team in 2012, scoring two goals in 13 appearances so far.
