Last night was going to be like every other night in the city of Lagos for popular artiste manager-producer Seyi Allen until he was attacked by arm robbers.
Allen says he was driving along the Mile 2 road that leads to Orile with his Chinese friend when he encountered a bit of traffic. ‘I got of my car to find out who have given my car a nudge from behind and suddenly noticed that they were robbers‘, Allen tells NET in a phone conversation.
He says he quickly locked his can and ran towards a couple of Policemen who were situated not far from where the robbers were and tried to explain. Allen says the officers were slow to respond. When he eventually convinced the Police officers to walk with him to his car, the robbers had smashed the front side glass and gagged his Chinese friend, stolen her bag and collected her neck chain.
‘It’s a big surprise, it happened all of a sudden‘, Allen says, 24hours after the incident.
Last night, he wrote on his Facebook wall ‘I may start walking around with a gun‘.
Allen is married to long-time singer Azeezat. They have been married for about 10 years.
