Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun, otherwise known as AY says he’s thankful to God no one sustained any major injuries in the Abuja accident that left him in shock last week.
On Sunday, April 29 the popular comedian was involved in an auto crash while in Abuja.
According to him, ‘I was returning from a church programme and the driver was taking me back to my hotel room. We were about turning at a T-junction around This Day event centre when a guy in a Peugeot 406 car ran straight into my car. Although the car was damaged I really thank God no one was hurt and I am fine‘.
The entertainer left his family in Lagos, for meetings and recce in Abuja, ahead of a planned event. How did his wife Mabel take the news? ‘She is human, she will react the same way anyone will. She wasn’t around when the incident happened; she travelled abroad with our daughter. They came in this morning because of what happened‘.
The comedian-promoter tells us he did not report the accident with the Police
‘I didn’t report to the Police because I value life more than material things. The man who ran in to us was sympathetic and remorseful, I think he lost control’.
‘One of the car is beyond repair while the other car can be fixed. It was just the door. I thank God that we are all fine and doing well‘.
