The seventh season of the Big Brother Nigeria show is back on our screens today, July 23, 2022, by 7pm.
The long-awaited show, whose premiere will see the return of a live audience, will have Nigerian Pop music sensations Victony and Asake headline its launch.
Asake toppled other rising stars such as BNXN, Lojay, Victony, Ruger and Portable to cop the Net Honours Breakout Artiste of the Year Award (2022), polishing his budding shelf, inundated with no bad songs, with an award of recognition.
Asake, signed to YBNL Records, has dropped back to back hits such as ‘Sungba’, ‘Omo Ope’, ‘Trabaye’ and most recently ‘Peace Be Unto You’. He will join an esteemed list of stars such as Made Kuti, Lojay, Ajebo Hustlers, The Cavemen to have graced the BBNaija live show.
Victony, the ‘All Power’ chanteur has also been making waves in the industry in recent times. Victony linked up with Burna Boy on the song ‘Different Sizes’ on the latter’s 4th successful album Love, Damini.
It comes as no surprise that BBNaija has employed such up-and-comers to perform on its launch. The reality TV show is renowned for recognising talents, rewarding excellence and shooting known and unknown talents to stardom.
If there is any show for artistes as Asake and Victony to further cement their popularity in the music scene in Nigeria and Africa, there is no better place to do so than BBNaija. You remember the eviction show on Sunday, August 9, 2022, which had 1.6 billion audience impressions and over 380,000 posts from audiences across the African continent?
The two stars, Asake and Victony, will join other performers in giving the live audience a grand welcome after a COVID-induced hiatus.
Meanwhile BBNaija itself promises even more drama and buzz. With its return of ninjas and other crazy twists, it sure will provide its audience with crunch scenes, sailing ships, heated moments and many more.
