On Saturday, January 31, 2015, D’banj held the kick-off party to celebrate his year-long 10th year anniversary as an entertainer.
And to make it very grand, he brought in American twerk queen, Amber Rose to host the show.
However, fans who attended the show were not pleased with the fact that Amber Rose didn’t stay long at the event, she didn’t event twerk on stage amid multiple reports claiming she stormed out of the event in anger.
Reacting to this through his publicist, Bukky Karibi-Whyte, D’banj has issued a statement to clear the air.
The statement reads: ‘My Dear Media Friends that attended our event. I am sending this email to clear the air on some stories that circulated this morning regarding Amber Rose leaving D’banj’s Party.
‘Please be advised that Amber Rose DID NOT storm out of the venue as indicated by some blogs. She arrived in Nigeria that same evening from another show in Amsterdam (5.50pm), went straight to her hotel, and then eventually came as D’banj’s date to the party.
‘Amber Rose did leave early because she was tired (long flights) and was escorted back to her nearby hotel by D’banjs entourage and security.’
