The planning committee for the 2012 African Entertainment awards has officially announced the call for nominations, running from April 1 to June 2012.
This year’s event is scheduled to hold on September 15, 2012 at the Elizabeth Theatre in Toronto, Canada.
According to organizers, the award is aimed at ‘promoting the richness in Africa culture and Art and also shaping the future of African entertainment industry’. The event will incorporate comedy acts, stage performances, and a gala reception.
After the screening period, a tentative list of nominees will be sent to the planning committee between June and July. We’re told the committee will decide on final nominations, after which the general public will be invited to vote online between July and September.
