Beauticians Opral Benson, Bayo Haastrup and late Adenike Ogungbe, popularly called Ewar, were honoured at the Make Up in Nigeria Conference held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on April 30, 2014.
The conference had in attendance make up artistes, including Eni Balogun of Lise Beauty Range, Lola Maja Okojevoh, Joy Adenuga, Bunmi Oyeniyi, Khuraira and US based Buntricia Bastian, all of who took turns to teach the audience different aspects of the art of make up.
The event also had a panel session with discussants who touched on issues bordering on make up artistry.
The convener, Tara Fela Durotoye, in her welcome address, confirmed that the conference was designed to start a revolution in the industry and create an opportunity for up and coming artistes to meet with and learn from accomplished artists.
