Today, March 17, 2016, marks the birthday of Nigerian popular Juju/Gospel musician, Abel Dosunmu aka Mega 9’9.
In celebration of the music star, we bring you 7 facts about him:
1. Abel was born in Oshodi, a metropolitan city in Lagos State.
2. He obtained a Bachelor of science (B. sc) degree in accountancy from Olabisi Onabanjo University.
3. Mega 9’9 started doing music as a chorister in his father’s church, Celestial Church of Christ, situated at Oshodi.
4. In 1994, he established a musical group called Abel Dosunmu and the Mega 9’9 Band.
5. His debut album titled My mother was released in 1998 and another album titled Prayer was released in 2000 but was famous for his album titled Money which was released in 2003.
6. He later released ‘Ona Ara’ in 2006 followed by ‘Weep Not’ in 2008 and Thanksgiving in 2010.
7. Among his popular work are: Victory At Last was (2012), Fear Not (2013) and Emajo Emayo (2014).
