‘2face just blew the chance to have his name written in the same corridors as the great Fela’ – at least that’s what this Twitter user @Ebuka_Akara thinks.

Barely 24 hours after Nigerian pop star, 2face Idibia cancelled his highly publicized peaceful protest march against the government, most Nigerians seem to be pissed that he started something which he knew he somehow couldn’t finish.
READ: No shame in 2face pulling out of tomorrow’s protest, he already won
The cancellation has been met with a lot of mixed reactions – to the extent of them comparing the pop singer to the legendary Fela Kuti.
While most Nigerians seem to be on the singer’s side, some do not agree – as they think he should be more like Fela in his dealings.
Of course 2baba will take d safer option 4 now. 4 all Fela did 4 his country, his story isnt evn told in schools. Nigeria prefers d villains

Meanwhile in Fela’s time
In FELA’s time, we had youths who were ready to fight for their future. In Tuface’s days, we have youths who prefer #BBNaija to their future

But he’s ‘Innocent’ and not Fela
Tuface could have been the Fela of our time, I tell you the guy is “innocent” he can’t be Fela
— OlaSunKanMi (@SmilesParker) February 5, 2017
And so far most people have been very mean to the singer.
Some of you need to apologize to Fela for comparing him with that coward who just chickened out of a protest.

2face is still our favourite role model, regardless.
Tuface is suddenly a bad role model for some of you, but you have no problem regarding and referring to Fela as ur fav human rights activist

Are you people saying Fela had a better moral life than Tuface? pic.twitter.com/3C7BgFw3GZ
