2face Idibia has apologized to some of his fans in Atlanta, US for missing a scheduled performance.
Fans had come out to the Center Stage on Friday, August 3, 2012 to watch the pop star perform live but were disappointed to meet his absence.
2face’s publicist however explains that the pop star’s absence at the Atlanta leg of the United Sounds of Africa tour, was not intentional as the ‘circumstances were beyond’ the musician’s control.
‘Our flight from Lagos to New York was pushed back by almost 24 hours without notice. As a result, we could not make our initial connecting flight to Atlanta. We had to leave JFK for La Guardia to catch that flight. Needless to say, the entire delegation had to head straight to the venue, by which time we had only about 25 minutes to perform before it was shut down. At the end of the concert, even though we made plans to make an appearance at the club, everybody was understandably too tired to make the trip’, Bayo Omisore of Platonique PR explains.
Omisore stresses that 2face is also not happy he couldn’t make the show. ‘Our client is as ‘frustrated as you are that he was not able to mingle with the Atlanta public especially after the show of love’.
Omisore adds that African City Group, organizers of the show should not be blamed for the disappointments.
2face will be performing at the House of Blues in Chicago tonight.
