Nigerian music icon 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, have dedicated their first child together in a heartfelt church ceremony, marking a significant milestone in their young marriage.
A now-viral video circulating on social media captured the couple dancing joyfully toward the altar as family and friends cheered them on. Osawaru, dressed in a black gown, cradled their baby wrapped in a white blanket, while the singer, born Innocent Idibia moved rhythmically in a traditional red outfit paired with dark shades. The celebratory procession created an atmosphere of warmth and gratitude before the infant was handed over at the altar for prayers.
News of the baby’s arrival first emerged in November after a Facebook page bearing Osawaru’s name announced the birth of a boy. The couple had tied the knot in July, months after making their relationship public. Their romance came into the spotlight shortly after 2Baba confirmed his split from his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, in January. At the time, the ‘African Queen’ hitmaker maintained that his relationship with the Edo lawmaker was not connected to the breakup.
The singer proposed to Osawaru in February, and by April, the relationship appeared to have gained family acceptance when Natasha visited Rose Idibia, 2Baba’s mother, who had previously expressed reservations about the union. Beyond his new chapter, 2Baba is also father to children from previous relationships with Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala-Adeoye, as well as two daughters with Annie.
