Although 13-year-old Adzo Kposse from Togo did not clinch any medals in the swimming competition, her goal for the games was to beat her personal best of 44.60seconds in the 50m freestyle which she did – creating for herself, a new record time of 33.57seconds.
Young and aspiring, she was a bold sight to behold at the Olympics and the whole of Africa would anticipate her progress in the near future
