It doesn’t look like one of Ghana’s leading actresses and movie producers, Yvonne Nelson, wants to have anything to do with the #IceBucketChallenge.
Having been nominated by Iyanya to take part in the #IceBucketChallenge, the pretty actress went on twitter to send out an angry post.
’Say sh*t and I’ll block you if I see it. SIMPLE! You live in America and think Africa is America? People in my country don’t have potable water to drink and you display your ignorance on my post? No one asked you to follow or check my page… Ilovemyafrica! Ourpartoftheworld,’ she tweeted.
The challenge sees the nominated celebrity having ice water poured on him or her without any prior knowledge. The nominees have 24 hours to accept or forfeit the challenge.
Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, the first celebrity in this part of the world to take up the challenge, nominated Iyanya, who extended the honour to his former love interest.
The challenge began as a charitable initiative for financial donations for victims of a medical condition known as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
We’ll keep tabs on happenings to know if Nelson really sees the #IceBucketChallenge as a waste of time or if it’s because she was nominated by Iyanya, who reportedly ditched her last year.
