Cooper died recently in her Monroe home, at the age of 116. According to her son, Sidney, the late Cooper was active until her death and even had her hair made on the morning of the fateful day.
With this development, 115-year-old Dina Manfredini of Johnston, Iowa now holds the title while French woman, Jeanne Calment remains the oldest person ever, dying at age 122 in 1997.
