The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been knocked out of the 2014 World Cup finals, losing to Les Blues of France in a second round match.
The match played on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Nacional, Brasila saw the French side edge out their Nigerian counterparts with a 2 – 0 victory. Juventus player Paul Pogba gave France the lead in the 79th minute before Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo scored an own goal in the 90th minute.
France has successfully progressed to the quarterfinals of the tournament and will play either Germany or Algeria.
