The Super Eagles of Nigeria team reportedly boycotted their training session on Thursday, June 26, 2014, due to unpaid bonus fees.
Some players were allegedly demanding to be paid the appearance bonus that had been agreed on with Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for qualifying to the second round.
According to KickOffNigeria, the NFF said that its general secretary Musa Amadu had left Sao Paulo and returned to Nigeria to deal with the issue.
However, fresh reports claim that Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Jonathan made a personal call to the players, assuring them that the money will be paid.
