The Super Eagles have progressed to the next stage of the World cup tournament, despite losing their last group stage game to Argentina.
The match, against Argentina was played on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Estadio Beira – Rio, and saw the Argentine team triumph to a 3 – 2 victory with the help of two strikes from Lionel Messi.
Both teams made history in the tournament match by scoring the first two fastest goal in four minutes.
Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi and Ahmed Musa found the net twice with Argentina’s Marcos Rojo sealing the victory for South Americans.
Nigeria who finished second behind Argentina in Group F, secured a spot in the round of sixteen after Iran failed to lost Bosnia – Herzegovina.
