Mexico have recorded their third World Cup victory to finish second in Group A.
The match against Croatia on Monday, June, 23, 2014 at the Arena Pernambuco, Recife saw an impressive display from both teams, but the Mexicans sealed the match on a high note with a 3 -1 victory.
Rafael Marquez, Andres Guardado and Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez scored in the last ten minutes of the second half to secure a spot in the round of sixteen.
Ivan Perisic was quick to react with a consolation goal a few minutes to the final whistle but failed to qualify for the next round after two defeats and one victory.
