Even the football pundits are still finding this pretty hard to believe…
Brazil has been kicked out of the on-going World Cup tournament in the worst way they could ever imagine; losing to cup favourites Germany seven goals to one.
The host nation who were missing top striker Neymar (he was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament due to a back injury) couldn’t stop the ‘German machines’, conceding five goals in the first half courtesy of Thomas Mueller, Miroslav Klose, Toni Kroos and Sami Khedira.
The Samba Boys conceded another two goals in the second half (Andre Schuerrle – ’69, ’79) and could only muster a feeble reply with a lone goal (Oscar ’90).
Germany has advanced to the finals and will play the winner between The Netherlands and Argentina.
