The Three Lions of England have recorded their second defeat in the on-going World Cup finals in Brazil.
The match, played on Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Sao Paolo, saw the English national team succumb to a 2 – 1 defeat. Liverpool forward, Luis Suarez made a spectacular return to action after an injury, to give Uruguay the lead in the first 45 minutes of the game.
Wayne Rooney‘s equaliser wasn’t enough for England, as Suarez added another goal in the second half of the game to seal the victory.
England, who lost to the Italians in their first outing will face Costa Rica in their final group stage match with limited chances of qualifying for the next stage.
