Warner Bros/DC‘s Wonder Woman surpassed predictions after grossing $122.5m internationally.
The film tells the story of Diana, Princess of the Amazons, who trained to be an unconquerable warrior and was raised on a sheltered island paradise.
She later meets an American pilot who tells her about the massive conflict that’s raging in the outside world.
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie based on the very popular series of children’s book totalled $23.5m over the weekend.
Other films in the top ten include Baywatch, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Alien: Covenant, King Arthur, The Boss Baby and Snatched.
