Self-styled Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Timaya is the latest brand ambassador to join Globacom, an indigenous telecommunications company in Nigeria.
Timaya is the only new act to join GLO in its latest reshuffle where pop stars like Wizkid, P-Square, Wande Coal, Burna Boy and Sammie Okposo were dropped.

Explaining why Timaya has been made an ambassador, GLO in a statement says, ‘Timaya was made a Glo ambassador because of his success in the music industry and for being an inspiration to millions of Nigerian youths, especially in the South-South part of the country where he is popularly known as the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa.‘
