Multiple reports in local Ugandan media allege she is being held under the 2014 anti-pornography law and has already spent five weeks in jail, while her manager Didi Mugisha, who was also arrested was fined 200,000 Ugandan shillings ($67).
The pop star may get up to 10 years in jail for the video Ugandan lawmakers have described as ‘Obscene’ and ‘Vulgar’.
NET gathered she has been charged for ‘willfully and unlawfully producing, trafficking, importing, selling, and abetting pornography.’
The date for her hearing is yet to be confirmed.
