Oscar winner, Lupita Nyong’o has turned down a role in a Broadway show titled ‘Constellations’ to take part in the new ‘Star Wars’ Episode VII.
According to reports, the 12 Years a Slave actress had been offered the chance to make her debut in a production of Nick Payne’s play but turned it down in order to appear in upcoming blockbuster movie series, ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’
Lupita Nyong’o, a Kenya-born actress who made her acting debut with the short film, East River and subsequently starred in the Kenyan Television series, Shuga (2009), decided to go for the bigger pie like most people in her situation would.
The Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan, while Abrams Kathleen, Kennedy Abrams, Bryan Burk are producing with John Williams returning as the composer.
The movie opens worldwide on Thursday, December 18, 2015.
