The Argentine captain’s decision has opened the vista of a strong link to England especially with Barcelona in turmoil and Chelsea reported to be readying a massive bid for the superstar.
The speculation linking Messi with a move to the Premier League comes on stronger as Barcelona sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta and Carles Puyol departed the La Liga outfit over crisis affecting the Spanish giants.
According to reports, the Argentine star was supposed to attend an open training session but missed the session attended by thousands of children on Monday, January 5, 2015 and later started following Chelsea FC on Instagram, alongside former Barca teammate, Cesc Fabregas.
