As funny as it sounds, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has bagged the best actor award in Enugu state.
The award was presented to the comic actor by the governor of the state, Sullivan Chime. Sources say the award is in recognition of the actor’s contributions to the development of the movie industry in the country in general and the state in particular.
The excited actor took to his social media pages – Twitter and Instagram last night to inform his teeming fans about the award.
Although no one knows the criteria used for the award apart from not coming from awards organisers, lots of congratulatory messages have been pouring in since his post on social media platforms.
