Another fan said, “the album was totally worth the wait period.”
During his visit to Netng office on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, Gaise Baba explained the story behind the album and why it took him two years to complete.
“We started working on the album on the fourth or fifth day in January 2020, just before the pandemic,” he said. “As at that time I was thinking the album would come out in 2020, it became 2021. It was supposed to be September 2021, it moved to November, December, and finally, it’s coming out in February 2022.”
Gaise Baba said his musical journey, which started in 2010, inspired ‘A Decade After’.
He said the album is both a reflective and an aspirational album.
“I came into the industry in 2010, so we started working on the album in 2020, so it was A Decade After,” he said. “I legit want to capture that journey, the ups and downs. The lessons and victories. It is a reflective and an aspirational album.”
He added that it’s been a decade since he started doing music, and the album captures his lessons. “Despite being here a decade long, there’s still so many years ahead, and this is how I’m looking forward to all the many years that lie ahead of me. That’s the essence of the project,” Gaise Baba said.
Since releasing his debut album ‘GAISEBABA’ in 2011, Gaise has released a total of xxx albums and one EP.
On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, he announced the release date for the new album with a trailer that captures him talking about his journey and how he has conquered fear.
