In only the few hours from now, the 59th Grammy Awards will hold at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
The awards holds every year to reward singers, songwriters, producers for there musical excellence across several genres of music; 84 categories to be exact.
This most prestigious awards ceremony is perhaps also infamous for springing up a lot of surprises when the winners are announced.
But we are wise to them. Here are who we expect to be the biggest winners at the 2017 Grammys.
Record of the Year
Nominees: ‘Hello’ – Adele, ‘Formation’ – Beyoncé, ‘7 Years’ – Lukas Graham, ‘Work’ – Rihanna featuring Drake, ‘Stressed Out’ – Twenty One Pilots
Sorry Bey-lovers, Adele has you beat on this; even if she did not break the Internet with with the announcement of her expecting twins.
But the release of her biggest ever song yet, – which is saying a lot for an artiste who has already sold millions of records – truly rocked the Internet to its foundations.
The record and the video, flip-phone and all, has withstood the travails of 2016 with the excellent vocals by the British singer and its always popular heartbreak theme. Should be a win for Adele.
Album of the Year
Nominees: 25 – Adele, Lemonade – Beyoncé, Purpose – Justin Bieber, Views – Drake, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth – Sturgill Simpson
This is one of the most prestigious awards of the Grammys as it signifies that the winner is judged to have released the best body of work in the year under review. Sorry Bey-stans again, but Justin has got this.

You only need to listen to his Purpose album just the once to be amazed at the remarkable transformation of the former teenage pop king to a bonafide R&B singer in his own right.
Every single song on his album, back to back, could be considered a hit on its own right. Only fair that the Canadian wins it.
Sorry Wizkid too. Maybe next year.
Song of the Year
Nominees: ‘Formation’ – Beyoncé, ‘Hello’ – Adele, ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’ – Mike Posner, ‘Love Yourself’ – Justin Bieber, ‘7 Years’ – Lukas Graham
This category might be a little more difficult because so many good songs were nominated.
But because the awards rewards the songwriting and lyrical excellence of a song, the award surely has to go Justin Bieber.
The lead single from his Purpose album explores a different side of unrequited love in a very intelligent way. Sure winner.
Best New Artist
Nominees: Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Chance the Rapper, Maren Morris, Anderson Paak
Only one winner here. Chance came and, even as a newcomer, changed the game.

Still unsigned, this Chicago-rapper released his debut album, Coloring Book to rave reviews, only for streaming, eschewing the decades old model of releasing albums for sale.
For that alone, Chance deserves the gong. The Coloring Book is a revolutionary album which brings a new set of sounds to a genre that was said to be stagnating. Chance has got this.
No Fields Found.
