The countdown to Sunday is getting more intense, with each fandom desperate to help their favourite housemate take home the grand prize. It begs the question, who is more deserving of the ₦90 million prize and the crown of BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’?
Whitemoney
The moneygeng fanbase has proven to be probably the strongest of the season. They worked overtime to save Whitemoney from possible eviction every single time he was nominated and kept him trending every week. Whitemoney started the season nicely. He was cordial with every housemate. His peace-loving and funny personality drew many of them to him. Some however, began to scrutinize his personality and pick apart his actions in search of a strategy or ulterior motives.
While the game begs each housemate to employ a strategy that would take them closer to ₦90 million naira, Whitemoney denies using cooking as a strategy. His fans watching came to understand his genuine love for cooking had nothing to do with staying in the game. But can’t say it hurt his chances of remaining on the housemates’ good sides. Despite the different altercations he has been involved in, especially the one he had with Pere, Whitemoney continues to maintain his loving personality.
We are not saying we’re Whitemoney fans, but our money is on him.
Liquorose
Once it was revealed that Liquorose was a star even before the show, fans immediately rallied around her. Liquorose who frequently appears on the top 5 weekly charts became known for being a talented dancer with the popular Ggb dance crew and an actress.
Fans were interested in seeing how much of her talent she would bring to the show. Liquorose did not disappoint, she brought it all. From her energetic dance moves, to the creativity and dedication she brought to each task, it is no surprise why Liquorose is loved by fans.
Her relationship with Emmanuel has not been one without issues. Although fans were sceptical about the duo, they have grown to like the Emmarose ship and could not be happier that they both made it to the finale.
Liquorose’s fans will tell you she deserves to win the show because she brought the energy, the vibe, the content and most importantly, she brought her talent.
Pere
Pere asserted himself from the onset as one to watch out for, especially with how he played his wild card game so smoothly. For the first week, he went undetected by the other housemates except by Whitemoney. This revelation caused a kind of friction between them, with Pere insisting Whitemoney must have had outside info on the wild card. Pere had that much faith in himself. He earned the title ‘General Pere’ when he became Head of house and dismissed Whitemoney from the kitchen. After his row with Whitemoney, he started to trend for all the wrong reasons. But despite the bad press, loyal fans stood by him.
After Maria’s eviction, the general started to warm up to the other housemates and them to him. He became open and caring to the other players. Despite Saga’s betrayal, Pere still regarded him as a friend. It was nice to see the marked villain for this season’s show get a warm redemption arc. According to many, he’s the first housemate to play an unprecedented script. We are not sure what his strategy was in the beginning, all we can say is he grew on all of us, whether we care to admit it or not.
Is this reason enough for him to take home the grand prize? You decide.
Cross
When Cross was introduced into the Big Brother house, he described himself as a party animal. That was evident in every single party the house has experienced since the show started.
Besides being the life of the party, Cross found the time to develop an interest in evicted housemate, Saskay. He spent an amount of time trying to woo her to his corner but Saskay would not commit. Once Cross discovered that Saskay may be playing both sides between him and Jaypaul, he decided to play along.
Cross has shown he’s not afraid to hook up with any of the ladies in the house. He’s in fact locked lips with a considerable few. Obviously, he’s here for a good time and thankfully, also for a long time as he made it to the finale.
Is this enough to grant him the ₦90 million prize? Fingers CROSSed.
Emmanuel
Emmanuel’s game started off a little weak. He spent most of his time either staying in bed or attached to Liquorose by the hip. Thankfully, his relationship with Liquor blossomed into something the fans didn’t mind shipping. Although he refused to define their relationship, it became obvious that the pair really enjoyed each other’s company. Especially after Big Brother’s secret challenge for Liquorose, which left Emmanuel worried and stressed out. Biggie rewarded the couple for Liquorose’s flawless delivery of the task, which in turn only strengthened their relationship.
Emmanuel’s luck cashed in close to the end of the show. After being saved from possible eviction in the past weeks, he became the Head of house just when he needed it. The following week he won the Ultimate Veto Power and another week of immunity. This final week, he has gone down in Big Brother history for being the last Head of House of the ‘Shine Your Eye’ season.
Can he cash that luck one more time and take home the ₦90 million prize? Unlikely, but we’ll see.
Angel
Angel, the youngest housemate on the show this season, delivered on all the content she promised. She came on the show to be as real as she could be. We watched her share her battles with mental illness and her little relationship with Sammy. Although that ended as quickly as it began and badly, Angel moved on from that to focus on enjoying her stay in the house.
Angel visited the top 5 charts frequently due to her several altercations with the other housemates including, Boma and Pere. She has proven that she would always stick up for herself. Her carefree attitude and raunchy outfits may have rubbed off wrongly on viewers watching. Yet she never wasted any opportunity to show her creative and intelligent side. Her approach to the different tasks they handled through the season, and the conversations she’s had with the other housemates, shows just how well exposed and smart she is.
Angel’s strategy was obviously ‘take me as I am’. She wasn’t afraid to enjoy herself on the dance floor and she was always ready to get cheeky with the other housemates. Like Cross, Angel is all about the cruise and vibes which is probably why they got along so well.
