Yemi Alade has been announced as the Best Female Act of 2016 at the ongoing MAMAs in South Africa.
And in her acceptance speech, she said, ‘We’re not only good in the kitchen and other room. We’re good at everything.’

Her stance was in response to Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari‘s recent comment about his wife, Aisha Buhari belonging to the kitchen, living room and the other room.
Other’s nominated in the Best Female Act category include, Josey (Ivory Coast), MzVee (Ghana), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria) and Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania)
