Nigerian singer Qing Madi has publicly accused her former record label, JTon Music, of deliberately removing her music from Spotify, escalating tensions between the fast-rising artist and the company she once worked with.
The 19-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to air her grievances, alleging a pattern of harassment aimed at disrupting her momentum in the music industry. According to Qing Madi, her latest track is due to its strong performance. She suggested the move was a calculated attempt to frustrate her progress, drawing comparisons to the highly publicised fallout involving Cynthia Morgan.
In her posts, the singer also claimed that the label had previously filed a $1 million lawsuit against her, which she says they ultimately lost. Expressing frustration, Madi wrote that despite her decision to stay silent and focus on her craft, the situation had reached a point where she could no longer ignore it. “I don’t come on the internet to complain ever… all I do is keep pushing my music,” she said, adding that she remains confident the song will be restored.
Qing Madi, who released her debut album “I Am the Blueprint” in January 2025, emphasised that her priority has always been making music, not engaging in public disputes. “I’m 19 years old… let me be,” she pleaded, while directly tagging the label in a message urging them to leave her alone.
As of the time of filing this report, JTon Music has not issued any official response to the allegations.
