The rumours have been lingering for a while: has D’banj added buzzing rapper Olamide to his growing roaster of artistes under his DB Records label?
The pair who seem to have become unattached have been spotted several times in Lagos and even in the US. There are strong indications that Olamide aka Badoo may have signed with the Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo-led label.
Yesterday, Kay Switch (who is D’banj’s brother and also an artiste under DB Records) announced on Twitter, welcoming Olamide; ‘Welcome to the family! Baddo‘.
A Publicity stunt or did Kay Switch get over excited? Maybe.
Mails sent to both Olamide’s and D’banj’s camp have not been responded to as at the timeof this report.
The pair are currently in Atlanta and will be moving to Houston for a show happening tonight, Thursday, May 9, 2013.
As reported earlier, the show was cancelled and later postponed due to logistics. Others performing at the show include Ikechukwu and Sinzu.
