Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney believes that the Barcelona FC forward is better than his former teammate and Real Madrid attacker, Cristiano Ronaldo.
‘They’re two different players. But I think Messi is incredible. I think he’s the best ever, so I’d have to say Messi’ said Wayne Rooney during Google hangout session with DHL.
‘But Ronaldo has been a bit unlucky because, in any other time, he’d be winning all the awards Messi has. But they’re two of the best players of all-time’ further said Wayne Rooney.
Since C. Ronaldo’s move to the La Liga, he has been eclipsed by Lionel Messi who has risen to become the world’s most prolific striker. The diminutive Argentinean has scored 37 goals in this La Liga season. Messi has also won the Ballon d’Or four times.
Wayne Rooney will be facing C. Ronaldo in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford on the 5th of March. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw with Danny Welbeck and Ronaldo scoring.
