The late Zara had only three official music videos to her name but the concept and natural star power the singer attracted with them would beat some of your favourite video clips of today.
Check out NET’s breakdown of the late singer’s music videos shot through 2009 to 2012 right before her illness.
‘The flyest’ (Shot Ryan Rigley and directed by Aaron Blum in US, December 2009): This is believed to be Zara’s debut video which saw her capitalize on the buzz she was getting at the time in the US, having been signed to Alapomeji Records through manager at the time, Toni Payne.
‘Aboko ku‘ (Shot and directed by Wudi Awa in Nigeria, January 2011): What ‘The flyest’ failed to do, this video did; Zara for the first time after returning to Nigeria, worked with video director Wudi Awa and gave us ‘Aboko ku‘.
‘Teno‘ (Shot and directed by Champion Studios and P.K. Design, June, 2012): Returning to the US in mid 2012, Zara released her third music video shot in Maryland, US. In a Skype chat, the eccentric singer told NET it was the least effort put in a video but one of her best. The picture quality of the video backs her story.
