Two of the top ten finalists s at this year’s GLO Naija Sings TV reality show have been evicted. They are Lagos state resident Vickiola and Ondo state born Oluwakemi.
Vickiola was the first to leave the show on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The 24-year-old who had performed Christina Aguilera’s ‘Reflections‘ the previous week, was evicted from the show because she had the lowest number of votes among the contestants. ‘It has been a wonderful experience‘, she said.
Oluwakemi was the next to follow a week after on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Her last performance, a rendition of Dido’s ‘Life for rent’ was quite emotional. The other contestants including backstage presenter Derenele Edun all walked on stage to sing along.
The finalists have now been cut down to eight contestants – AM-OK, Christain, Lynn, Mattade, Precious, Teesongz, Oni and Victoria who will all compete for the grand prize of $100,000.
