Real Madrid FC has seen their 21-game unbeaten run in all competitions halted by fellow Spanish club, Valencia.
In a match played on Sunday, January 4, 2015, the Club World Cup champions failed to claim their 22nd victory after Valencia came from behind to defeat Real Madrid 2 – 1.
When Madrid scored the first goal of the match through their superstar winger, Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a penalty kick in the 14th minute, everyone would have thought they were about to roll over their opponents but Valencia fought back with a goal from defender, Antonio Barragan Fernandez and a winning goal from Nicolas Otamendi was enough for Los Che team to take all the 3 points required.
