President Uhuru Kenyatta, who recently revealed his intention to promote the arts in Kenya, has disclosed that he is a huge fan of Kenyan music and has a soft spot for Gosper singer Rufftone.
During an interview with Easy FM, the secretary of communications and presidential spokesperson, Manoah Esipisu, said: ‘The President loves Kenyan music. Rufftone is one of his favourites.’
Rufftone is one of the biggest names in Kenya’s gospel industry, with his hit song ‘Mungu baba’ still ruling the airwaves and music charts long after release. The song, which he performed during the Kenya at 50 celebrations, has become an anthem and proven that he is a force to be reckoned with within the Kenyan music scene.
His brother, Daddy Owen, is another music bigwig whose work has made a great impact and easily made him one of the hottest gospel talents.
