The internet recently went agog following a recent poll on the top 10 Nigerian rappers.
While majority listed M.I, Vector, Reminisce, Olamide, Phyno, Modenine, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Falz among the best, others classified Vic O, Lynxxx and more as ‘wackest’, as they are all vying to be crowned the greatest.
Take your time reading as the fans also got some dominant bars ‘in their tweets’.
Who’s arguing? The best for me is Mode 9, yeah he’s not dropping but give it to him, the greatest he is

Every Indigenous rapper has its time & season

Jesse jagz is the Nigerian kanye…without the rants, and MI is the ‘Kendrick Lamar’ of naija rap…case closed! Don’t @ me unless u agree.

People that believe Ice Prince is a better rapper than Vector are part of the major problems we have in this generation 👏

I asked my kid brother between MI & Olamide who is better. He replied MI is CHAIRMAN. For me I will say MI is English,Olamide is Indigenous.
— Linus (@linusNoni) March 1, 2016
We should just leave Olamide as indigenous rapper .. He has admitted he is a local rapper leave MI, Vector ,Modo, Jesse as “Oyinbo Rappers”

Rap is about Rhythm and Poetry. Olamide has rhythm. Poetry isn’t really something he focuses on. M.I Mode9 Vector do well in both.

People say Olamide is not a rapper and I’m like your fave Nigerian rapper doesn’t have a rap song as hard as Voice Of The Street.

ElDee is the Godfather of Nigerian Hiphop. He laid down ALL the templates. Street-talk? Dance-rap? Singer-Rapper? Visuals? Posse-Cuts? ElDee

— The Altruist (@DrealAltruist) March 1, 2016
Da grin is the only Nigerian rapper I know, the others can die
— ZLATAN SON (@Zlatan_Son) March 1, 2016
If MI was a foreign rapper, he would be on the same class with J Cole and Drake.
But he’s Nigerian so let’s compare him with Meek Mill. Smh
— Restructure Nigeria (@briandark) March 1, 2016
MI is the best Nigerian rapper by mere consistency & quality of work put out. That being said, if you compare him to J Cole, you’re a moron.
