Tunde Olaoluwa Adekunle, popularly known as Tunde Ednut, studied Graphic Design at the university, but switched to entertainment, and he has now grown to become one of Nigeria’s most prominent bloggers and entertainment promoters.
Tunde Ednut, who enjoys a massive following on Instagram, is famous for posting sensational news stories on his page and using his reach to give publicity to unknown music artistes and regularly giving away cash. His posts generate a lot of engagement, and he has been fondly referred to as “The Shade Room of Africa.”
Tunde Ednut was born in Katsina, where he spent much of his childhood before his family moved to Lagos. He had his secondary school education at Federal Government College, Ugolawo, Kogi State. He studied Graphic Arts at the University of Lagos, and upon leaving the country, he enrolled at the Kingsland University of London to pursue a degree in Graphic Design.
Tunde Ednut first started out as a comedian: in 2007, he performed in Nigeria as a guest at the Dynamix Awards. He was nominated for the Nigeria Future Awards in 2008, and he began to perform stand-up routines at shows across the United Kingdom.
In 2011, Tunde Ednut delved into music, releasing a track called My Kinda Song. In 2012, he released Catching Cold, which featured Dr Sid. He has courted controversy on multiple occasions and has been involved in feuds with Joro Olumofin, Bobrisky, and Speed Darlington, but his popularity remains on an upward trajectory. In a 2018 Nairametrics report, he was listed as one of Nigeria’s biggest social media influencers.
In December 2020, his Instagram account, which had over 2.5 million followers, was suspended for violating the platform’s terms and conditions.
