An American man, Wendell Melton has shot his own 14 year-old son, Giovanni.
Henderson police reveal that Giovanni was abused physically and mentally for many years.
His foster mum, Sonjah Jones stated that ‘His dad caught him with his boyfriend and pulled out a gun and shot him because he was angry. Giovanni was abused physically and mentally and spiritually for many, many years, so I am sure that he would rather have a dead son than a gay son’ she said
While mourning him, a classmate of the teen at Coronado High School, Bailey Schultz, said ‘It’s just sad. He was young and he had a lot to live for.’
Police responded on Thursday afternoon and say the 53-year-old father shot his son.Family members say he was shot in the apartment where the 14-year-old stayed by himself.
