10. It ends
Normally I would reserve this for the number one spot and give it some grand build up. But we might as well get the saddest thing about love out of the way. Love ends. It starts with ‘hello’ and ends with goodbye. And I guess you pray that somewhere in between the hello and goodbye, you have a lot of laughs.
9. It makes you happy.
Surely there can be nothing wrong with being happy can there? But when you are happy, you may find that you don’t quite edit yourself. And sometimes, you stop making an effort. Love makes you want to wear pyjamas to bed and eat ice cream.
8. It makes you forget…everything
Now remember how love makes you happy? Well, it also makes you forget. You forget everything that hurt before, or could hurt now. You forget to put guards up.
7. It messes with your brain cells.
Smart people suddenly start acting stupid. From that pseudo-baby speak people in love indulge in, to decisions they make.
6. It gives you wings!
Forget that energy drink! Love gives you wiiiiings!
People in love think they can face a hundred Goliaths and truly climb every mountain.
5. All songs sound like love jams.
Only love can make you feel like R.E.M’s “Everybody hurts” is a party jam. Somehow, those words do not register. When you are in love, you are happy. And so you can’t understand the concept of hurt and tears and sad songs. They all sound like ‘Take banana’ to you!
4. It comes with rain
Yes, sadly, this is the truth. “Joy…and pain…It’s like Sunshine and rain”.
You really can’t have one without the other!
3. It turns you into Oprah.
Ever noticed those annoying people on twitter who are philosophical and have loads of advice? Yup! They are probably in love. Eeesh!
Think about it.. When you are in love, you are one of those annoying people on twitter (and indeed, in real life) with love quotes and advice. O no
2. It takes you away from the other things you love
Remember when you would watch a thousand movies on your laptop at the weekend? Now suddenly you never do that because you are always with the one you love? Yup!
Get used to it… Love takes you away from the things you love.
1. It’s not enough
Of course, I had to go bursting your bubble again! But I am sure you have heard this a lot of times. Love is not enough. Sometimes it fades, sometimes it leaves, sometimes it burns. So what keeps you together when it’s fading? You always have to find something!
The trouble with love is… no one truly knows what love is!

From Love Junkie #2, the saddest part about love really is that it ends. You love one person and it ends, and u fall for someone else and the cycle begins again. I always wonder ‘what really happens to all the memories from the previous love?’. Do we forget them only to re-learn new things about the new love?
